ASIAN LAW STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION
LOCAL CHAPTER UNIVERSITAS UDAYANA
Together as One, One Team, One Dream, One Family.
ALSA, Always be One!

History of ALSA
The ASEAN Law Students' Association was established in 1989 composed of the member countries Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. In 2002, they came to the idea of extending its scope of membership in order to enhance the achievement of its objective. At the Asian Forum held in Japan after the Korean Conference, the Tokyo Agreement was signed, marking the merging of the ASEAN Law Students’ Association, the International Law Students’ Association of Peking University, the Law Association, Hong Kong University Students’ Union (LA, HKUSU), ALSA Japan, ALSA Korea, and ALSA Taiwan into a single association we know today. ALSA has grown and improved to be a professional, non-political, non-profit organization as the place for its members to excel in their legal skills, critical minds, communication, and connection. As an organization that includes 18 National Chapters, ALSA has been a place for culture fusion throughout Asia. ALSA Indonesia as a National Chapter and a home for its 15 Local Chapter, continues to grow and set examples on how law students should be prepared to fit in the global area.

Praise and gratitude be to Almighty God for His blessings and grace that always accompany us. The Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to connecting law students across Asia. As an organization with 16 national branches, ALSA firmly upholds its four pillars: Academically Committed, Socially Responsible, Legally Skilled, and Internationally Minded. Through these pillars, ALSA remains committed to providing a platform for its members to develop themselves and contribute to society.
The ALSA Local Chapter of Universitas Udayana (ALSA LC Unud) is one of the 15 Local Chapter of ALSA National Chapter Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2012, ALSA LC Unud has continuously innovated by developing programs that align with the four ALSA pillars. The pillars are Legally Skilled, Academically Committed, Internationally Minded, and Socially Responsible have always been and will continue to be the foundation of ALSA as an International Organization for law students.
As of 2025, ALSA LC Unud has a vision and mission that serve as its guiding principles. This year’s vision is “To make ALSA LC Unud a professional, familial, and innovative organization.” To achieve this vision, four key missions have been established, enhancing the competence of the organization and its members, fostering a strong sense of a familial environment within the management, strengthening the legal knowledge and skills of its members, and encouraging innovative collaborations.
